A collection of 8 children’s pieces for unison voice and piano. The collection includes poetry by James Whitcomb Riley, Samuel Taylor Coleridge, Lewis Carroll, Barry Cornwall, William Cowper, and Robert Louis Stevenson.

The pieces are filled with whimsy and child-like wonder. The poetry is encompasses a toad lamenting the lack of rain, birds in love, crocodiles on the Nile, owls despised by day but king at night, crickets serenades, a kind cow, an Earth Day song, and a babbling brook.

The book comes with an accompaniment CD of piano music with some percussion. Also included are lyrics sheets for the children.
